Health minister pushing for flu vaccinations in pharmacies
Health Minister Adam Vojtěch (ANO) wants to enable people to get flu shots at pharmacies. While some cabinet members oppose the move, it has won support from a number of medical and professional organizations.
Vaccinologists, doctors, oncologists and obesity specialists say pharmacy staff would first need proper training, after which vaccinations could begin immediately. Czech Medical Chamber President Milan Kubek disagrees, warning that allowing flu vaccinations in pharmacies could undermine public confidence in the procedure.
