Government to invest one billion crowns in major heritage restorations

The government plans to invest more than one billion crowns in restoring around 15 major heritage sites during the current parliamentary term, Culture Minister Oto Klempíř said on Wednesday. The list includes Plasy Monastery, another section of Karlštejn Castle and the neglected state chateau in Horšovský Týn.

The list also includes sites in Moravia and Silesia, including Janovice Chateau and the castle in Hradec nad Moravicí. The projects are already being included in preparations for the 2027 state budget.
