Police investigating MP Filip Turek over injury caused in Prague crash

Police have opened a criminal investigation into a July traffic accident involving Motorists MP Filip Turek at the I. P. Pavlova intersection in central Prague. The case is being investigated on suspicion of causing bodily harm through negligence, although no charges have been filed so far.

The crash occurred when Turek drove his Mercedes straight through the busy intersection from a turning lane, colliding with a Škoda Fabia operated by Prague's Na Homolce Hospital. The hospital vehicle overturned, and its driver, a man in his sixties, suffered multiple injuries, including a head injury. According to available information, the hospital car was travelling with its emergency lights and siren activated at the time of the collision.
