State castles and chateaus to open for free on two days

The Czech Ministry of Culture will open all state castles and chateaus to the public free of charge on August 30 and September 27 this year, it said on Wednesday. This follows limited free admission to state-owned museums and galleries earlier in 2026 and continues a project of making state cultural institutions more accessible, the Ministry said.

The arts minister, Oto Klempíř, said the success of the spring trial of the project demonstrated a large degree of public interest.
