China adds Czech Tatra trucks to export sanctions list
China has added 14 European Union entities to its export sanctions list in response to EU sanctions related to Russia.
According to AFP, the Czech manufacturer Tatra Trucks, which produces heavy-duty, military and specialised vehicles, is among the companies targeted.
China will stop supplying the blacklisted entities with dual-use goods that can be used for both civilian and military purposes, with immediate effect, the news agency said.
Tatra Trucks acknowledged the Chinese authorities' decision but said the measure would have no practical impact on its business. The company said it does not use Chinese components or technologies covered by the export restrictions in its vehicle production and therefore does not expect any disruption to manufacturing, its supply chain or customer deliveries. It added that it would continue to monitor the situation.
