Coalition party want Zelensky stripped of high Czech honour

Coalition party Freedom and Direct Democracy want Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to be stripped of the highest Czech state honour, the Order of the White Lion. Jindřich Rajchl, a member of the grouping’s parliamentary party, said on Tuesday that this should be done following Poland’s example; it president removed Mr. Zelensky’s Order of the White Eagle after he named a Ukrainian special forces unit the “Heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army”.

Freedom and Direct Democracy will push within the governing coalition for the Chamber of Deputies to propose to President Petr Pavel that the Czech honour be revoked.
