Car production in the Czech Republic rose by 8.3 percent in the first quarter to a record 396,880 vehicles
Passenger car production in domestic car factories in the first quarter increased year-on-year by 8.3 percent to 396,880 vehicles, which is the highest first-quarter figure on record. Of this total, 41 percent were electrified vehicles. This was announced today by the Automotive Industry Association.
The largest producer was Škoda Auto, whose Czech plants produced 267,544 cars, an increase of 13.1 percent year-on-year. Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech recorded a production decline of 6.3 percent to 67,000 vehicles, while Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic increased production by 6.7 percent to 62,336 cars.
