Czechs facing Danes in bid to reach first World Cup in 20 years
The Czech Republic’s footballers will face Denmark on Tuesday night for a place at this year’s World Cup in North America. The Danes are considered the favourites for the playoffs final, which will take place at Sparta Prague’s stadium.
Coach Miroslav Koubek is expected to make changes to his starting line-up after an underwhelming first half against Ireland in last week’s playoffs semi-finals, which Czechia eventually won on penalties.
The Czechs last qualified for the World Cup two decades ago.
