Olympic winner Maděrová comes second in World Cup event in Czechia
Olympic champion Zuzana Maděrová snowboarder came second in the parallel slalom at a World Cup event in the Czech resort of Špindlerův Mlýn on Saturday. The Czech, who is 22, had been in the lead before a mistake before the finish line allowed Japan’s Tsubaki Miki to win.
Maděrová has been on the podium seven times at World Cup meetings, but has never come first. She is fifth in the World Cup standings.
