Fewer Czechs in conflict-affected Middle East countries
About 4,900 Czechs are currently registered in the DROZD travel system (Voluntary registration of citizens of the Czech Republic when traveling abroad) in countries affected by the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, around 500 fewer than on Thursday. This follows information provided today by the Czech Foreign Ministry.
The largest number of Czechs remain in the United Arab Emirates, where 2,885 people are currently registered, down from 3,186 on Thursday. Around 900 Czechs are registered in Oman, compared with more than 1,000 previously.
Lower hundreds remain in Jordan, Qatar, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Czech citizens are leaving the region using commercial flights as well as government repatriation planes.
