Visitor numbers increased at Czech heritage sites
Visitor numbers at heritage sites managed by the Czech National Heritage Institute (NPÚ) rose year-on-year last year. Castles, châteaux and other properties under the institute’s administration attracted 4.3 million visitors, up 6% compared with the previous year, the Czech News Agency reported.
Visitor numbers peaked during the summer holidays. The most popular sites were the châteaux at Lednice, Český Krumlov and Hluboká nad Vltavou, as well as Karlštejn and Bouzov castles.
