From January, prime minister and parliamentary leaders will earn over CZK 300,000 for first time

The salaries of top politicians will increase by approximately five percent starting in January. For the first time ever, the prime minister and the presidents of the chambers of parliament will earn more than CZK 300,000 gross per month. The salary of an ordinary member of parliament will increase by CZK 5,500 to CZK 115,000. The president will receive CZK 383,200, which is CZK 18,200 more than this year. This is according to a statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MPSV) on the announcement of the base salary from which salaries are derived.
