ANO MP Taťána Malá appointed Czech government human rights commissioner

Taťána Malá, head of the ANO parliamentary club, has been appointed government human rights commissioner. The cabinet approved her nomination on Tuesday, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš announced.

Malá, 44, is serving her third term as a member of parliament and sits on several committees, including health, constitutional, and organizational affairs. She replaces Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková, who left office with the previous government.

The South Moravian politician briefly served as justice minister in 2018 but resigned over allegations of plagiarism in her academic work.
