Czech PM says Polish rail sabotage fresh reason to invest in defense
Outgoing Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala has stressed that the weekend blast on the Warsaw–Lublin railway line, which has been linked to Russian intelligence, is further reason to invest more into defense spending. Mr. Fiala, whose government has strongly supported Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, said this something that the incoming government should give serious consideration to.
A spokesman for Poland’s minister overseeing special services said all signs indicate Russian intelligence orchestrated the sabotage. According to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the intended target was a train running from Warsaw to Dęblin, on a route often used to transport weapons to Ukraine.
