In Valdíkov, culling of 20,000 ducks has begun due to bird flu

The culling of poultry at a large-scale farm in Valdíkov in the Třebíč region, where avian influenza has been confirmed, began Wednesday roughly two hours before noon. Veterinarians said that, together with firefighters, they will cull 18,000 week-old ducklings and 2,500 fattened ducks at the AGRO-V company’s farm. However, according to a representative of the farm, many of the slaughter-ready ducks have already died.
