Czech Republic to receive 5.5 billion CZK from EEA and Norway Grants
In the coming years, the Czech Republic will receive 5.5 billion CZK (approx. 225 million EUR) from the European Economic Area (EEA) and Norway Grants, according to the Czech news agency. The funding will support projects focused mainly on cultural heritage and cooperation, research and innovation, green transformation, public health, education, and the inclusion and empowerment of Roma communities. Part of the funds will also go toward projects addressing challenges arising from the war in Ukraine.
The Czech Republic has been a recipient of EEA and Norway Grants since 2004, and has since received around 11 billion CZK (450 million EUR) from the fund made of contributions by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
