Czechia’s unemployment falls to 3% in September, lowest in EU
Czechia’s unemployment rate fell to 3% in September from 3.1% in August, the lowest in the European Union alongside Malta, according to fresh data released by Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office.
EU-wide unemployment remained stable at 6%, while the Eurozone rate stayed at 6.3%. Spain continued to record the highest unemployment at 10.5%, followed by Finland (9.8%) and Sweden (8.7%).
Eurostat bases its Czech data on figures from the Czech Statistics Office, which differ from the Labour Office’s measure showing 4.5% unemployment in September.
