Government discusses increasing teachers’ salaries and purchase of light armored vehicles

On Wednesday, the government of Petr Fiala (ODS) discussed a January increase of salary scales for teachers and academics by seven percent. The regulation prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs also includes a raise of 2,000 crowns in the pay scales of teaching assistants and some lecturers. On top of this, the Minister of Defense presented the cabinet with information about a contract for the delivery of 24 light armored Iveco vehicles. The army has been using Iveco armored vehicles since 2008 and currently has around 200 of them.
