Fiala meets Zelensky, vows to support Kyiv from opposition ranks
Outgoing Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the EU summit in Brussels on Thursday, as both leaders confirmed on social media. Fiala pledged to continue supporting Ukraine from the opposition benches and expressed hope the new Czech government would do the same. Zelensky thanked the Czech people for their warmth, solidarity, and daily assistance, and said he briefed Fiala on the impact of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
