Czech Republic to build and donate Earth-observation satellite to Ukraine
The Czech Republic will produce and donate an Earth-observation satellite to Ukraine within a year, Novinky.cz reported citing Transport Minister Martin Kupka. The spacecraft will be capable of collecting surface data regardless of weather or daylight conditions. Ukraine currently lacks such technology and has had to rely on foreign data for satellite imagery. Minister Kupka presented the project during Czech Space Week in Prague—the country’s largest showcase of space-related initiatives, featuring emerging aerospace companies and the planned spaceflight of Czech Air Force pilot Aleš Svoboda.
