Prague to ban electric scooters from January

Starting in January, Prague will introduce a new system to regulate shared transportation, which includes a ban on the provision of electric scooters. The city council approved the measure on Monday. The reason for the ban is years of criticism from residents and central city districts, who say parked scooters block streets and that mostly tourists endanger pedestrians by riding on sidewalks.
