Czech pavilion at Expo 2025 welcomes 1.5 millionth visitor
The Czech pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka welcomed its 1.5 millionth visitor on Friday, as the world exhibition nears its end. The milestone came just six weeks after the pavilion passed the one-million mark on September 2, spokeswoman Jana Kohoutová said.
The spiral-shaped pavilion, designed by Apropos Architects, combines cross-laminated timber and glass to symbolise innovation and sustainability. On Friday, it also received a European Union hospitality award and the Europa mascot statue in recognition of its welcoming design and visitor experience. Attracting around 12,000 to 14,000 visitors a day, the structure could later be relocated to Hradec Králové once the Expo concludes.
