Event in Karlín to honor Dana Drábová
A memorial evening for Dana Drábová, the longtime head of the State Office for Nuclear Safety, will be held at Prague’s Forum Karlín on Thursday, October 23. Drábová, who had asked not to have a public funeral, died on Monday after a serious illness at the age of 64.
The event, titled “Dana, Thank You!”, is organized by her friends and supporters from the groups Gift for Putin, Post Bellum, and the Havloids Memorial Club, in agreement with her family.
Organizers have asked people not to bring flowers or gifts but instead to support charities helping single parents or Ukraine. Mourners can pay their respects until 2 p.m. today at a memorial site outside the State Office for Nuclear Safety in Prague, or sign a condolence book in Pyšely, where Drábová lived and served on the local council since the 1990s.
