Metro station Flora to close for 10 months due to major renovation

Prague’s public transport operator (DPP) will close the Flora metro station on line A for ten months starting February 2 next year due to extensive reconstruction, the Czech News Agency reported. The station, which opened in 1980 and was never substantially renovated, will get new wall panels, technologies, and escalators. The installation of elevators will continue even after the station reopens, with barrier-free access expected in early 2028. DPP plans similar overhauls at other line A stations  Hradčanská is next in line, set to close for approximately a year next spring.
