ANO suspends three members of movement

The nationwide committee of ANO has suspended the membership of three members of the movement charged in connection with the renting of municipal apartments in Havířov, Karviná district. Among them is the city’s mayor, Ondřej Baránek. ANO spokesman Martin Vodička announced this at the movement’s pre-election rally in Liberec, according to ČTK. Baránek told ČTK in a text message that he himself had submitted the request to suspend his membership earlier this morning. At a city council meeting held on Monday, Baránek stated that he had not knowingly committed any wrongdoing.
