Prague approves Top Tower skyscraper in Nové Butovice, set to be tallest in Czechia

Prague councillors have approved changes to the city’s zoning plan that will allow the construction of Top Tower, a skyscraper planned in Nové Butovice by developer Trigema. Once completed, it will be the tallest building in Prague and in all of Czechia.

The tower will rise 125 meters high, topped with a 10 meter shipwreck-like sculpture designed by architect Tomáš Císař and artist David Černý. Inside, it will feature apartments, shops, offices and a cultural center.

As part of the agreement, the developer will contribute nearly CZK 76 million to Prague 13 and the city, both in cash and through improvements to public spaces.
