Removal of illegal German waste from Jiříkov has begun
The removal of illegal German waste from Jiříkov in the Bruntál region has begun. The first truck left on Monday afternoon. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next week. This will be followed by the cleanup of the landfill in Horní Heršpice near Brno. The Minister of the Environment, Petr Hladík (Spolu), told journalists this today in Jiříkov. According to his estimate, the total amount of waste is nearly 500 tons, with about 170 tons in Jiříkov. The waste from Czechia will be transported for disposal to several locations in Germany, Hladík added.
