Czechs arranged fewer building savings contracts than last year
Building societies concluded 187,191 new building savings contracts in the first half of the year. Compared to the same period last year, their number decreased by 2.3 percent. The average target amount of newly concluded savings contracts was 799,700 crowns, down 6.5 percent year-on-year. The target amount reflects the client’s future intentions, that is, how much they plan to save or borrow for housing. This follows from the latest statistics published by the Ministry of Finance.
