Karolína Muchová out of US Open, Kateřina Siniaková reaches doubles final

Karolína Muchová has fallen short of the US Open semifinals for the third year in a row. The eleventh seed lost in New York to former world number one and four time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka 4-6, 6-7. With her exit, there are no Czech players left in the singles draw.

In doubles, Kateřina Siniaková is through to the final. Playing alongside American Taylor Townsend, they beat Veronika Kudermetova and Elise Mertens 6-3, 7-6. In the final, they will face third seeds Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada and Erin Routliffe of New Zealand.
