Czech Post halts parcel deliveries to U.S. amid new tariff rules

The Czech postal service will stop accepting parcels bound for the United States starting Friday, citing changes in U.S. customs regulations introduced by President Donald Trump. The measure, abolishing duty-free entry for shipments valued under $800, takes effect August 29, Czech Post said in a press release.

According to spokesperson Kateřina Cafourková, only written correspondence, documents, and gifts exchanged between private individuals worth up to $100 will continue to be accepted. Postal representatives noted that U.S. authorities have yet to clarify key issues, including the collection of customs duties, data requirements, and cooperation mechanisms with American customs offices.
