Václav Havel's favorite band: Čechomor

In this edition of our Sunday Music show, we explore decades of Čechomor, formerly the 'Czechomoravian Music Society', a group of ex-rock musicians who revitalized traditional Czech music with fresh energy.

Čechomor is a Czech band originating from Svitavy, known for performing traditional folk songs with a rock twist. They have toured extensively across the world, and were said to be a favorite of Czech playwright and former president Václav Havel. In 2001, the band received three Anděl Awards.
