Interior Ministry presents emergency guide for crises

Roughly 73% of Czechs are unprepared for  crisis situations and do not have basic emergency supplies in store, Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (STAN) said at the launch of a new public preparedness guide.

The handbook, titled 72 Hours, aims to help citizens get ready for emergencies such as floods, fires, storms, or service outages. It is already available online, and in mid-October, Czech Post will begin distributing printed copies to all households in the country.

The guide offers practical advice and a list of items useful during the first three days of a crisis,  including disruptions to water, heating, electricity or internet.
