ŠKODA JS and Rolls-Royce to cooperate in field of small modular reactors

ŠKODA JS from the ČEZ Group in Plzeň has concluded a memorandum with the British company Rolls-Royce SMR Limited on the production and supply of small modular reactors (SMR). They have agreed on a mutual partnership in a new sector of nuclear energy, Karel Samec, a spokesman for ŠKODA JS, which is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of nuclear energy equipment in Europe, told ČTK on Thursday. The energy policy of Czechia and many other countries depends on the development and application of SMR.
