Komerční banka increased net profit by 37.5% in first half of 2025
Komerční banka, one of Czechia’s biggest banks, increased its net profit in the first half of this year by 37.5% year-on-year to 8.9 billion crowns. The bank's operating profit increased by more than a tenth. The bank, whose majority owner is the French Société Générale, provided unaudited, consolidated results to ČTK on Thursday.
Operating expenses decreased by 3.9% to 8.7 billion crowns, and Komerční banka added 47,000 clients year-on-year, with 1.755 million at the end of the first half of the year. The number of branches of Komerční banka decreased by 18, compared to the first half of last year, to 187. The number of ATMs also decreased by 29 to 764 devices.
