Pavel to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Ishiba in Japan next week

President Petr Pavel will meet with Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Japan next week, the Office of the President of the Republic informed journalists on Wednesday.

His agenda also includes the opening of the Czech National Day at the Expo 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka and the commemoration of the victims of the atomic bomb explosion in Hiroshima eighty years ago. President Pavel will travel to Japan on Monday, accompanied by a business delegation. The last Czech president to visit Japan was Václav Klaus, in 2007 and 2008.
