Owners of Máj want to preserve butterflies on façade despite criticism

The owners of the Máj department store on Prague's Národní třída have asked the building authority to extend the time for the placement of moving butterflies on the building's facade. The several-metre-long moving sculptures have been on the facade since last May and the original permit expires at the end of August. Máj is owned by the Realita mutual fund, managed by ATRIS, whose ultimate owners are brothers Martin and Václav Klán.
