Czech environment minister on working visit to Japan

Czech Environment Minister Petr Hladík is on a working visit to Japan, accompanied by a large delegation of entrepreneurs. The mission, involving 18 companies, aims to deepen Czech-Japanese cooperation in the fields of circular economy, sustainability, and modern solutions for waste and water management.

Czech firms will present their innovations and expertise in Japan while also seeking opportunities to establish new partnerships. According to Hladík, the Japanese side has shown interest in cooperation with Czech experts from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, particularly in the field of natural disaster prevention. Czech specialists played a key role during the September floods, when timely forecasts and early warnings helped mitigate the impact.
