Roman Červenka receives Lifetime Achievement Award at European Hockey Clubs gala

National team captain Roman Červenka received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the European Hockey Clubs gala held in Prague. The 39-year-old Červenka played in his twelfth World Championship this year and led the national team for the fifth time at the tournament. He won World Championship titles with the Czech team in 2010 and again last year.

The Pardubice forward has played 103 games at the World Championships, surpassing David Výborný to become the all-time leader in appearances in the modern history of the Czech national team. This marks yet another individual honor for Červenka, who was named the IIHF’s World Player of the Year last season.
