Thousands visit Pardubice Aviation Fair

Thousands of people visited the Aviation Fair in Pardubice on Saturday and thousands more are expected to make use of the opportunity to admire contemporary and historical aviation technology on Sunday. The fair showcases historical machines such as the C-47 Dakota transport and the P-51 Mustang and P-38 Lightning fighters, presented both on the ground and in the air. A repaired Hawker Hurricane, flown by several Czechoslovak pilots, was presented to the public, and a British WWII Anson Avro bomber also made its European premiere. Spectators saw paratroopers in action, helicopter rappelling and acrobatic performances.
