ANO ready to initiate no-confidence vote in Fiala cabinet
Opposition ANO MPs have collected a sufficient number of signatures to initiate a no-confidence vote in the cabinet of Petr Fiala over the bitcoin affair, the head of the ANO deputies club in the lower house Alena Schillerová told the ctk news agency. She said it is not yet clear when the request for a special session of the lower house will be submitted.
At least 50 MPs must sign such a request so as to table the motion. For the cabinet to fall, at least 101 of the 200 MPs must vote in favour of the no-confidence motion. The Fiala government has a majority in the lower house and has so far withstood three attempts to topple it.
