“Eden Greenhouses” project in Karviná postponed

The Eden Silesia Educational Park, one of the key strategic projects in the Moravian-Silesian Region, will not be built in Karviná in the coming years.

As acknowledged by Silesian University, the project’s lead institution, it ran out of time. According to grant rules, the park would have to be completed by 2027, which is no longer feasible due to ongoing uncertainties around project approval.

However, the university insists the project is not being abandoned. On Thursday, it secured support from the Ministry of the Environment to fund the preparation of the documents needed for a building permit. With those in hand, it plans to reapply for European funding with the ministry’s help.
