Leo Express under fire for launching free beer campaign

The carrier Leo Express has come under fire for launching an advertising campaign that promises a free beer to passengers over the age of 18 on all its trains in the Czech Republic, Poland or Slovakia, while stocks last. “Depending on the number of passengers, we expect that beer will be distributed on board for 10-14 days,” Leo Express announced. According to Peter Freimann, one of the organizers of the Dry February campaign which highlights the danger of alcoholism, this is a cheap  marketing strategy on the part of Leo Express, which he would not have expected from a carrier offering a "modern concept of travel in Central Europe". The carrier has defended its campaign saying that it encourages people to switch from cars to trains where they can enjoy a cold beer without putting their life or the life of others at risk.
