Age limit for medical examinations for older drivers is likely to rise

Regular health checks for older drivers will likely be required from the age of 70 starting next year, instead of the current age of 65. Drivers will no longer need to carry proof of medical fitness, as the results of the assessments will be accessible through the driving register. This will also apply to assessments for driving licence applicants. Further digitalisation of healthcare will be introduced through a government amendment, which was approved on Wednesday by the Chamber of Deputies with several changes proposed by MPs.
