Saharan dust expected to descend on Czechia this week

A warm front from the south is expected to bring relatively high concentrations of Saharan dust to the Czech Republic in several waves, the Czech Hydrometeorological office reported. The dust will descend on the country with predicted local showers and may remain in the atmosphere until Easter. Meteorologists warn that together with the relatively high concentrations of pollen currently registered, the red dust can worsen the health of people suffering from asthma, allergies and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
