High Court upholds paramedic’s six years for sexually assaulting anaesthetised patient
A 40-year-old man will serve six years in prison for sexually assaulting a female patient after anesthesia in a Třebíč hospital. The sentence imposed by the Brno Regional Court was confirmed today by the High Court in Olomouc. According to the Court of Appeal's decision, he must also pay CZK 150,000 in damages to the victim.
The incident happened two years ago. The father of two no longer works at the hospital, but is employed on the triage line. While he confessed to the crime when questioned by police, he denied it in court.
