Public Transport Company (DPP) releases statement on tram abuse case

The Public Transport Company of the Capital City of Prague (DPP) has released a statement on X regarding the case in which a Prague tram driver verbally and physically attacked a couple with a child and forced them to leave the vehicle for allegedly being Ukrainian. The man’s family has lived in Prague for a long time; his wife is Czech, and the boy in the video holds Czech citizenship.

According to the DPP, “The way the driver handled the operational situation is in complete contradiction not only with the internal rules of the DPP, but also with the laws of the Czech Republic and good morals. The DPP does not tolerate and will not tolerate such behavior. The DPP will use all legislative options to resolve the case in labor law.”

The investigation is still ongoing.
