Post-Christmas sales kick off in Czechia

Post-Christmas sales kicked off online and in brick-and-mortar stores around the country on Friday.  The biggest interest is traditionally in electronics, clothes or cosmetics, which are available at discount prices until the end of January. Most retailers expect higher sales than last year. According to data from the Czech Statistics Office, retail sales in October rose year-on-year for the 11th consecutive month. E-shops are doing particularly well, with sales up at a double-digit pace since the start of the year.
