Filip Šuman elected president of International Floorball Federation

Czech Filip Šuman was elected the new president of the International Floorball Federation on Saturday at the IFF general meeting, as reported on the IFF website. The fifty-year-old former president of Czech Floorball and current vice-chairman of the Czech Olympic Committee (ČOV) will replace Swede Tomas Eriksson, who has been chairman of the organisation since 1996.

Mr. Šuman was the only candidate in the election. He was at the helm of Czech Floorball from 2000 to 2021, before being replaced by Daniel Novák. Since 2012, he has been one of the vice-chairmen of the ČOV, with responsibilities including non-Olympic sports and the Children and Youth Olympics project.
