Czech Ministry of Defence signs contract for the purchase of 14 Leopard 2A4 battle tanks from Germany

The Czech Ministry of Defence on Tuesday signed a contract for the purchase of 14 Leopard 2A4 battle tanks from Germany for CZK 3.98 billion excluding VAT. The purchase from the German company Rheinmetall Landsysteme was approved by the Czech government in November.

The purchase is part of the ministry’s drive to modernize its arsenals and increase its action capability.
