Actor and gay rights activist Jiří Hromada dies at 66
Actor, dubbing artist, and prominent gay rights activist Jiří Hromada has died at the age of 66. The news of his passing was confirmed on Tuesday by Ondřej Kepka, his successor as president of the Actors' Association.
Hromada, who spent his final years in Prague's Na Františku Hospital, was for years a leader of the gay movement in the Czech Republic and contributed to the adoption of its law on registered partnership in 2006, which granted legal rights to same-sex couples.
